A VP of Finance is able to provide thought leadership to a scaling best in class global professional services business. You will be key to helping build a best in class finance team and drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks. You offer financial insights and analysis, prepare timely reporting with a focus on the future that is key to making business decisions, retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position, and have the foresight to mitigate risks and identify opportunities. You provide leadership and coordination, driving the implementation of new technologies for a scaling finance team, budget management functions, and ensure company accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles. You will learn the business, own your portion of the work, and pitch in when necessary, working within with the finance team and closely with Tractionites throughout the company reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.

Skills

Tractionites come from a variety of backgrounds, and we are eager to find people that are from non-traditional backgrounds. Typically, we find that people are successful in this role when they have:

Proven experience as VP of Finance or similar role
Strong Accounting and FP&A experience
Five + years’ experience in a senior level finance or accounting position, and a CPA or CFA (preferred)
In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Passionate about leveraging technology and experience implementing financial software to automate accounting and finance processes
Experience in cash flow planning and financing and investment analysis
What You Will Be Doing

Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks
Identifying and implementing financial management software
Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems
Set targets for and supervise accounting and finance personnel
Oversee internal control operations
Develop the corporate fundraising strategy and manage relationships with partners and investors
Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis
Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives
Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
Manage the preparation of all financial and management reports
Manage the preparation of financial forecasts
Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives
Represent the company externally to government agencies, auditors, and the general public
