Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Production Manager and Production Supervisors carries out various tasks in regards to production needs.
Responsibilities:
- Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and free of debris
- Safe and responsible operation of company equipment such as Lumber line, packaging tools, etc.
- Performs the work safely according to applicable codes, standards and to Stella-Jones health and safety program
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- 0 to 1 years of related experience
Core Competencies:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to lift lumber, twisting, turning, bending and standing for extended periods
- Good hand to eye coordinator
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of lumber dimensions, an asset
- Ability to perform the tasks without causing damage to product or equipment
- Basic math skills
