The Opportunity
This isn't a job where you sit behind a desk and wait for the shift to end. As our Senior Front Desk Associate, you'll be the first impression members have every single day, and the reason they keep showing up. You'll work closely alongside our Operations Manager as a true right hand, helping shape the day-to-day culture, holding the club to the highest standards, and having a direct hand in the club's success.

What Your Day Looks Like
Member Experience & Front Desk
- Be the face of Sandcastle Fitness: present, energetic, and welcoming at all times
- Greet and farewell every member personally as they come and go
- Handle member inquiries, account issues, and concerns, resolving independently whenever possible
- Ensure all members are checking in with accounts in good standing
- Answer incoming calls promptly and manage leads in our CRM
Membership Sales
- Lead engaging club tours and free trials that convert prospects into members
- Actively follow up on new and existing leads through our CRM system
- Hit monthly membership and personal training attachment targets (approximately 40 new memberships and 20 PT consultations per month)
- Book members for personal training consultations and assessments
Daily Club Operations
- Conduct regular walkthroughs to keep the gym floor clean, safe, and organized
- Maintain facility and washroom standards throughout your shift
- Enforce gym etiquette respectfully and professionally
- Ensure the weight room is fully reset at the end of each shift
- Contribute to our social media presence (Instagram stories and club highlights, roughly a few posts per week in collaboration with management)
Who We're Looking For
You have a genuine passion for fitness and love helping people reach their goals. That passion translates into real connections with members and makes you a natural closer. Prior sales experience in the fitness or wellness industry is a major asset; if you've worked in a gym before, you'll hit the ground running.
- Genuine passion for health, fitness, and helping people reach their goals
- 3 to 4 years of sales experience, ideally in the fitness or wellness industry
- Upbeat, welcoming personality: you make people feel good just by being around you
- Self-starter who owns their responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills, both in person and on the phone
- 19 years of age or older; secondary school diploma preferred
Schedule
This role is primarily an afternoon and evening position. You'll need availability for a flexible mix of shifts across weekdays and weekends:
- Primary shift: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm
- Secondary shift: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm

Compensation & Growth
- Base pay: CA$18.25 to $21/hour
- Commission: $10 to $25 per membership sold, plus $15 per PT consultation booked
- Total earnings: Successful associates average $27 to $30/hour all-in, based on hitting approximately 40 memberships and 20 PT consults per month
- Benefits after 6 months: dental, extended health, vision care, store discount, and wellness program
This role is also a launchpad. We promote from within, recognize top performers, give them increased responsibility, and consider them first for emerging operations and management roles as we continue to expand.
