Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, supporting food preparation, and ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong attention to cleanliness, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus but not required, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
- Assist with meal preparation and food handling tasks as directed by the kitchen staff
- Support food service operations by helping with basic food prep and plating when needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed to uphold health standards
- Restock supplies and assist with inventory management as necessary
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen workflow during busy hours
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cooking, restaurant work, or food service is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds as needed
- Basic understanding of meal preparation and food industry standards is a plus
