Overview
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Groundman / Arborist Crew Member to join our growing team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in arboriculture who are looking to further develop their skills in a professional, safety-focused environment.
Duties
- Assist with tree removals, pruning, and trimming operations using proper arboriculture techniques
- Support climbers and aerial lift operators with rigging and ground operations
- Operate equipment such as bucket trucks, wood chippers, chainsaws, and brush saws safely and efficiently
- Perform daily equipment and vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite, including debris removal and site cleanup
- Follow all health & safety regulations, including Ministry guidelines and company procedures
- Assist with Book 7 traffic control setups when required
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the arboriculture or tree care industry
- Valid G Class Driver’s License (clean driving record preferred)
- Physically fit, able to lift 50+ lbs and perform demanding outdoor work
- Strong knowledge of chainsaw operation, rigging, and arborist knots
- First Aid & CPR
- Working at Heights
- WHMIS
- Ladder Safety
- Book 7 (Traffic Control)
- Chainsaw safety certification/license
Assets (Preferred but Not Required)
- DZ License (manual transmission experience is an asset)
- Climbing experience (3+ years preferred)
- Aerial lift / bucket truck experience
- Line Clearing Safety Certification
- Certified Arborist (ISA / 444A) or Utility Arborist (444B)
- Experience towing and maneuvering trailers (forward & reverse)

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
