Location: Windsor-Essex, ON
Our client is an established automotive manufacturing organization operating multiple production facilities in the Windsor-Essex region. They are growing their skilled trades team and are seeking a Maintenance Millwright Apprentice who wants to continue developing their trade in a stable, long-term manufacturing environment.
This opportunity is well suited to a registered Millwright Apprentice who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and working alongside an experienced maintenance team.
This is a plant maintenance position supporting manufacturing operations. It is not a construction or installation-only role.
What you will be doing
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and related machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize production downtime.
- Repair and replace mechanical components including bearings, shafts, seals, and other machine components.
- Maintain presses and associated production equipment.
- Assist with equipment installations and assembly.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical specifications.
- Complete maintenance work orders and required documentation.
- Assist outside contractors during equipment repairs and installations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and production performance.
- Perform minor facility maintenance as required.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
What we're looking for
- Registered Millwright Apprentice.
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Previous industrial manufacturing experience.
- Mechanical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience.
- Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
- Must provide your own tools.
- Experience with injection moulding equipment is considered a strong asset.
