Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions, giving correct change and balancing registers at the end of each shift
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, ensuring food safety standards are met
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide outstanding service
- Support food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light food items as needed
- Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality in all customer interactions
Requirements
- Previous experience as a barista or in food service is preferred; familiarity with serving and food preparation is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and active listening abilities
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and register reconciliation
- Knowledge of POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms is advantageous
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
