A Non-Profit Organization with a Mandate to Provide Services to Adults with Intellectual Disabilities.
Applications are currently being accepted for a permanent, part-time Direct Service Worker vacancy in the Residential Department. These positions are scheduled for approximately 8 to 20 hours weekly. The shifts vary depending on the day of the week. Applicants should note that the assigned schedule requires working afternoons, evenings and every second weekend.
The wage rate is $17.50 per hour.
Direct Service Workers support and assist Individuals in daily routines and activities. The successful candidates will be committed to the goals and objectives of the organization and supportive of its programs and services.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Satisfactory English communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License, required
- Experience working with adults with developmental/physical disabilities an asset
Employment is subject to a Criminal Records Check and Adult and Child Abuse Registry Checks. Successful candidates will be required to obtain First Aid with CPR/AED certification and provide a driver abstract. All charges incurred will be at the expense of the candidate.
