We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, managing patient records, and ensuring accurate medication distribution. Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Creating Risk Assessments For Compounds
- Manage medication inventory, including stocking, labeling, and organizing supplies
- Enter prescription data into electronic health records with precision
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering medication guidance under pharmacist supervision
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Support medication administration processes as needed, including preparation for inpatient or outpatient settings
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless medication delivery and patient safety
Requirements
- Prior experience as a compounding pharmacy technician is highly preferred
- Knowledge of NAPRA
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in prescription processing
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Certification or registration as a pharmacy technician may be required depending on state regulations
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care and maintaining high standards of safety and confidentiality
Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
