Igloo Building Supplies is seeking a reliable and hardworking Swamper / Delivery Assistant to support our delivery team. This role involves assisting drivers with the safe and efficient delivery of insulation and building materials to customer job sites, helping organize loads, and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the delivery process.
Responsibilities
- Assist the driver with the delivery of insulation and building materials to construction and job sites.
- Assist with securing, organizing, and checking loads before and during deliveries.
- Perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials throughout the workday up to 80lbs.
- Support drivers with backing, maneuvering, and spotting when required.
- Work closely with the shipping and dispatch team to ensure deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.
- Operate in accordance with all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude when interacting with clients and coworkers.
Qualifications
- Previous commercial driving or delivery experience is considered an asset.
- Valid driver's license with a clean 5 year commercial driver's abstract.
- Comfortable driving larger vehicles and trucks when required, depending on licensing and company requirements.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift heavy materials on a regular basis.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
Additional Requirements
Please note that public transportation is limited in our area, particularly for the scheduled start time of 6:00 AM. Candidates must have reliable personal transportation to travel to and from work.
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
