We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with drywall and building materials and operating a counterbalance forklift.
Duties
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and prepare orders within the warehouse and yard.
- Perform order picking tasks to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks of drywall and various building materials.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts to ensure safe operation.
- Prepare orders involving heavy lifting and moving of products while following safety protocols.
- Serve customers and assist with customer pickups as required.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures.
- Work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator within the drywall / building supply industry.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Basic math skills for picking orders, counting, and receiving inventory.
- Experience with order picking and warehouse management systems is an asset.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 90 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work overtime as required.
- Good customer service and communication skills.

Pay: $24.50-$26.50 per hour
