Summary of Position
Seeking an individual with working knowledge of windows and building products able to provide fast, friendly service by providing window package quotes and support to our Beaver Homes program. Whether it’s over the phone, behind the desk or on the sales floor, customer service is their top priority and they will go above and beyond to exceed the customer’s expectations. A Sales Support Associates is positive, energetic, passionate, knowledgeable individual who display a genuine positive attitude. They excel under pressure and perform strongly in both individual and team environments. Core company values and policies are upheld while aiming to enhance the customer’s shopping experience. Sales Support Associates may branch off to specialize in a particular area of service such as small package sales or contract sales.
EDUCATION/SKILLS REQUIRED
- Must have knowledge of Building Materials
- Must be able to communicate effectively with management, employees, and delivery personnel.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to read and comprehend written and printed materials.
- Must use basic arithmetic skills to verify orders, invoices, shipping, and packing documents.
- Must have moderate computer skills.
- Willingness to learn.
- Ability to work co-operatively in a team atmosphere
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Firmly understands and maintains company values, policies and procedures
- Experience in Window sales and Paradigm programs a plus
- Considerable knowledge of products and applications
- Demonstrates superior customer service in both individual and team environments
- Highly personable
- Displays strong independent thinking and problem solving skill set
- Strong mathematical background and the ability to accurately conduct routine calculations
- Organized and punctual
- Proficient with Profit Master and all department-related equipment
- Capable of heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis
- Maintains a flexible work schedule and can fulfill position’s requirements.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written communication
- Identify and resolve potential problems with orders and inventory
- Ability to work through warranty issues
- Greet, recognize and respond to customer’s needs (information, direction, physical assistance)
- Provide a variety of sales-related functions
- Engage customer to qualify them and provide solutions to their problems
- Take orders in person or over the phone
- Submit price requests and follow up in a timely manner
- Special order products for customers and follow up in a timely manner
- Provide material estimates and follow up in a timely manner
- Fill out credit slips and inspect product as part of the return procedure
- Answer the phone and pages when required
- Promote safety and security as part of loss prevention practices
- Other duties as assigned
Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
