The Fairfield Gonzales Community Association (FGCA) is recruiting for an
independent, organized and collaborative Community Dinner Chef. The chef will work with
the FGCA Community Development team to plan and organize monthly meals at Queer
Community Dinner. This is an 8-dinner contracted position with hours ranging between 8-
15 hours per month. The chef will be responsible for meal preparation (grocery shopping,
chopping & cutting), managing food prep volunteers, and report directly to the Community
Development Manager.
Compensation and schedule:
- $353.75 per dinner
- Schedule: 4th Friday of each month (October-June, except December)

Program Details:
- Location: Garry Oak Room and Corrine’s Kitchen (1335 Thurlow Rd.)
- Queer Community Dinner is a monthly gathering where we welcome all queer and
trans folks in our community to join us for a nutritious meal, meet neighbours, and
connect with one another in an intentional and inclusive space. Meals are by-
donation and on first-come-first-serve basis. Queer, trans, and allies welcome!
