We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher or Research Associate to join Dasog and Freund research teams at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge projects focused on the synthesis, characterization, and performance testing of electrocatalysts for hydrogen generation. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with the National Research Council (NRC) and industry partners, providing a rich environment for professional growth and contribution to impactful research.
Key Responsibilities:
Synthesize and characterize advanced electrocatalysts for hydrogen generation.
Design and execute experiments to test the performance of electrocatalysts.
Analyze data and interpret results to guide the development of high-performance materials.
Mentor and supervise graduate students, fostering their development and ensuring successful project outcomes.
Prepare and present research findings at conferences, workshops, and in peer-reviewed journals.
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Proven experience in the synthesis and characterization of electrocatalysts. Demonstrated ability to test and evaluate the performance of electrocatalysts. Strong collaborative skills with a track record of working effectively in multidisciplinary teams. Experience mentoring and supervising graduate students is highly desirable. Ability to meet deadlines
Compensation package:
Salary range $55-65,000, Health & dental benefits plan, EFAP, life insurance, AD&D. optional Group RRSP, travel health insurance.
