COUNT ROOM ATTENDANT / SLOT BANKER
Location: Casino Lethbridge
Position Title: Count Room Attendant / Slot Banker
Immediate Supervisor: Slot Manager
Scheduled Hours: Part-time, early mornings, days vary per week

This is a dual position. The incumbent will be required to work shifts as a Count Room Attendant and also separate shifts as a Slot Banker.

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Slot Manager, the Count Room Attendant will ensure they promote the utmost integrity and the highest caliber of accuracy. The Count Room Attendant will be required to participate in the collection and accounting of all monies received in over 450 slot machines. Responsible for maintaining assigned areas in Slot Bank. The schedule for this position may vary and requires the ability to work early mornings, weekends and holidays.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Pull daily slot cash boxes
  • Verify daily slot cash boxes to AGLC report
  • Prepare daily floats
  • Verify floats coming in
  • Prepare deposits in timely manner
  • Balance the Count Room daily
  • Provide fills to the cage
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports
  • Maintain housekeeping of area
  • Maintains a positive and respectful attitude with a “One Team” mindset
  • Able to stand for long periods at a time
  • Maintain an AGLC gaming workers license
  • Supervise Count Room Staff
  • Prepare time sheets for Count Room Staff
  • Disciplinary action
  • Attendance sheets
  • Verify cage counts from previous night
  • Any other duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum high school education or equivalent
  • Must have cash handling experience
  • Able to obtain AGLC Registration
  • Demonstrated ability to be simultaneously friendly, courteous, and entertaining
  • Excellent communicator – both written and verbal English
  • Self-motivated and works well with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven to be detail oriented, reliable, punctual, efficient, and diligent in duties and responsibilities
  • Must be willing to early mornings
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
  • Accounting experience an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel spread sheets
  • Able to reconcile daily accounts
  • Problem solving skills
  • Supervisory experience a definite asset
  • Able to meet deadlines
