What you’ll be working on
Complete daily production and cheque balancing, resolving routine issues and escalating complex issues for management’s attention
Compile data from various sources and accurately record activity in the company’s accounting and investment information systems to support timely report preparation.
Complete complex bank and account reconciliations, collaborates with other departments to follow up on discrepancies and other outstanding items.
Support the cash management function to ensure accurate cash reporting, and adequate cash positions.
Support and coordinate corporate banking services and accounts payable processes ensuring all disbursements are made in an accurate, timely and controlled manner.
Responds to inquiries from other business units and explains corporate policies and procedures
Participate in projects and initiatives as assigned.
Provide back up to the team and support other business units as required.
Ability to think logically, analyze and solve problems.
Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks.
Strong attention to detail required.
Good communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to collaborate and build relationships
1-2 years of accounting, accounts payable or reconciliation experience.
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree with courses in business, accounting or finance.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel competency.
