Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Control Lab Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards through rigorous testing and inspection processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of quality assurance practices, contributing to the overall success of our quality management system.
Responsibilities:
- Examine ingredients or finished products to ensure conformance to company standards;
- Check products and packaging for basic quality defects, verify accuracy and completeness of data;
- Performing various in-line quality control checks;
- Take samples of products at various stages of processing;
- Conduct quality audits and assist in the development of quality management and quality assurance standards;
- Perform data entry and record keeping. Regular filing and document management;
- Provide assistance in testing and analysis of packaged food products;
- Check and monitor product quality;
- Daily review of production records, quality records and training records for accuracy;
- Operating the laboratory equipment and performing regular maintenance as required;
- Conduct routine tests for product specifications, Grade and label raw materials or finished products;
- Ensure hygiene and sanitation practices conform to policies and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in nutrition, food science, quality assurance and control or a related discipline.
- Interest in food/natural health products/pharmaceuticals is an advantage.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Motivated, positive attitude and an attention to detail necessary.
two possible work schedules:
- Monday–Friday schedule
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- This is a standard weekday shift.
- 12-hour continental shift
- Shift length: 12 hours, starting at 7:00 AM (so typically 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM).
- Rotation:
- One week: Monday–Wednesday
- Next week: Thursday–Saturday
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week

- Markham, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
