D&D Commercial Roofing is looking for experienced roofers and labourers to join our team. With upcoming projects throughout Alberta, we have constant work and are continually growing. We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals and are willing to work with the right candidate(s). Wage is to be based on experience and certifications.
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Experience with Modified Bitumen, EPDM, TPO, PVC and BUR systems
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage a crew of roofers and labourers
- Plan work methods and procedures daily to ensure production schedules are met, coordinate the supply of labour and materials daily and weekly.
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed
- Oversee all maintenance and on site safety
- Working safety on the job site, using and wearing proper PPE, and reporting hazards
- Investigating, identifying and resolving roof leaks
- Provide guidance and support to the designated work partner
- Ensure company vehicle is in safe operating condition and is equipped with the required tools and equipment for each job
- Good observation skills and problem-solving abilities
- Working knowledge of a variety of roofing systems (EPDM, TPO, SBS, PVC, Tar & Gravel)
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy roofing materials
- Working knowledge of a variety of roofing systems
- Manage the direction and timely completion of jobs while adhering to budget and material requirements.
- Ensure job site is properly maintained
- Identify quantity and scope changes to the Contract and communicate to Project Manager
- Serve as a main contact for field personnel and Project Managers or Superintendents

- Willingness to work out of town
Fall Arrest, Torch Safety, Fire Extinguisher, Standard First Aid or/and telehandler training/certification considered an asset.
