Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Prep Cook/Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning as per recipe specifications
- Cook menu items accurately and efficiently according to established standards and recipes
- Assist in plating dishes attractively and timely for service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Support the team during busy service hours by managing multiple tasks seamlessly
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure quality control and consistency in food preparation
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment is required; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings if needed
- Food industry or restaurant experience is highly desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
Pay: $16.00-$17.50 per hour
