The Calgary Winter Club is currently accepting resumes for the position of Housekeeping Supervisor. The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for the day and evening Housekeeping Attendants with a directive of keeping the Calgary Winter Club clean during the Club operating hours. This position involves both office and hands on work and reports to the Housekeeping Manager.
Key accountabilities include:
- Review and submit the hourly bi-weekly payroll to Human Resources
- Develop the staff schedule
- Maintain a successful level of communication amongst staff
- Clearly identify and implement specific housekeeping duties for each shift
- Maintain monthly inventory control of all department supplies and purchase as needed
- Train staff in all relevant position requirements
- Conduct interviews and process new employees
- Taking corrective actions with staff including termination
- Ensure that the equipment and building is properly maintained and in good working order
- Ensure all repairs are completed in a timely manner
- Maintain records for statistical performance tracking
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to provide direction and instruction in a team based environment
- Solutions oriented
- Positive attitude and motivation
- Supervisory experience of team of 15 or more people
- Experience in all aspects of housekeeping procedures
- Able to work a combination of evenings, weekends, and some holidays
- WHMIS certified
- Security experience an asset
