Landscape Maintenance Lead Technician

The Opportunity
We are currently looking to hire a Crew Lead for landscaping, grounds maintenance and snow clearing. They will be the first point of contact for customers so they will provide excellent customer service while they assist in the maintenance on landscapes and related structures including maintenance of lawns and gardens and safe clearing of snow and control of ice.
The Crew Lead will work alongside a team of peers and collaborate in performing their duties. Some key responsibilities include:
- Perform general landscaping maintenance, and snow clearing for a variety of residential and commercial properties.
- Operate and maintain various equipment such as mowers, aerators, clippers, sod cutters and snow blowers.
- Maintain lawns and grass along roadsides.
- Spray and dust trees, shrubs, lawns and gardens, as directed, to control insects and disease.
- Trim shrubs
- Clear accumulated snow from residential and commercial properties as required.
- Drive truck and trailer
- Lead a small crew

Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience lawn maintenance, or grounds maintenance.
- Must drive. Must provide current Class 5 license and have clear Driver's Abstract for past 3 years.
- Truck and trailer experience.
- Available day or night and on holidays/weekends. (Mainly M-F in spring/summer and winter is weather dependent)
- Must be reliable. Must be able to show up to work on time.
- Must have tough mental state to work in the cold and/or long hours
- Must be energetic with a fast walking pace.
- Must be able to work under pressure and have ability to manage time.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- English language is required as this work is highly based on safety
- Required to complete our in house orientation & training program.
- Required to have cell phone with data plan for mobile completion of sites.
Transportation to and from work. Sometimes 4am start in winter - - No transit at this time

Working Conditions
- This is a safety sensitive position.
- Must wear Steel Toe Boots at all times.
- Must wear applicable personnel protective equipment at all times (i.e., safety glasses) when required.
- Working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, hot, cold, rain, snow, or shine, we will be serving our customers.
