Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacy operations, ensuring the accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, and providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration, as well as the ability to work effectively in a hospital environment.
Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication inventories.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns from patients and healthcare staff.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and safety protocols.
- Support medication administration processes under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
- Organize and stock pharmacy supplies, ensuring that all medications are stored properly.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and medication management.
- Deliver prescriptions safely and promptly to patients and partner pharmacies.
Skills
- Knowledge of pharmacy Assistant practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to medications and treatments.
- Experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare providers.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in medication dispensing and record keeping.
- Knowledge/Experience with Kroll is an asset, but we can train right person
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
