Job description
We are looking for a student mobile app developer to help maintain and improve our mobile app.
The app is already built and running. It uses React Native, Expo, Expo Router, TypeScript, iOS TestFlight, and native camera/video features.
This role is a good fit for a computer science, software engineering, or mobile development student who wants real experience working on a production mobile app. You do not need to know everything already, but you should be comfortable learning quickly, debugging real issues, and communicating clearly.
Responsibilities
You will help with:
- Running and testing the app on iOS and Android
- Preparing iOS builds for TestFlight
- Fixing React Native and Expo bugs
- Working with Expo Router navigation
- Debugging crashes and errors using Bugsnag
- Helping with app permissions, camera features, notifications, and native modules
- Cleaning up TypeScript code and improving app reliability
- Testing new app versions before release
- Writing clear notes about bugs, fixes, and build steps
- Supporting new mobile app features as needed

Qualifications
The ideal candidate has experience with:
- JavaScript or TypeScript
- React or React Native
- Git and GitHub
- iOS or Android app testing
- Reading error logs and debugging technical issues
Experience with Expo, TestFlight, or native React Native modules is a strong plus.

Schedule
Full-time is preferred, but part-time can be discussed for the right candidate.
