Purchasing Assistant - Purchasing Division

The Edmonton Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable team player to work as a Purchasing Assistant. Working under the general supervision of the Procurement Manager and in keeping with the Library's policies and service philosophy, you will facilitate the creation of purchase orders, resolve invoicing problems, expedite vendor purchases, and assist with related administrative support to the purchasing area. As the ideal candidate, you have excellent customer service skills and have the ability to communicate effectively with staff and external vendors.

Job Requirements:
High School Diploma (or GED) is essential.
A related post-secondary diploma or certificate is preferred.
A minimum of one year of related experience working in a purchasing environment.
A working knowledge of SAP Purchasing Module is an asset.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Note: Satisfactory background screening is required for this position, which includes a Police Information Check.

35 hours per week.

Pay Band:
$24.85 - $31.72 per hour
