Kelowna Fruit Stand is a family-owned and operated business dedicated to bringing the very best of the Okanagan to our community. In addition to offering fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables, we also operate a café serving coffee, ice cream, sandwiches, baked goods, and Indian cuisine.
We are currently looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team for the summer and possibly into september and october. If you enjoy working with people in a fast-paced environment and take pride in providing excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with questions about products and services
- Process purchases accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Handle cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints professionally
- Restock merchandise and help maintain attractive displays
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required
- Balance cash registers and complete end-of-shift procedures
Qualifications
- Previous customer service or cashier experience is an asset, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
