Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Directional Driller to join our construction and drilling team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, managing directional drilling projects, and ensuring safety and precision throughout the work process. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex projects that require technical expertise in various types of heavy machinery and construction techniques. The position requires a strong understanding of underground utilities, directional drilling, and construction site operations, with a focus on delivering quality results efficiently and safely. LOA is available if applicable.
Duties
- Operate directional drilling equipment with precision to meet project specifications.
- Manage and coordinate the operation of heavy machinery including dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, and pavers.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment such as Caterpillar machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with site preparation activities including grading, paving, and excavation using heavy equipment.
- Oversee the safe movement and placement of underground utilities through horizontal drilling techniques.
- Maintain accurate documentation of drilling activities, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project timelines are met.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on site.
Qualifications
- Experience with horizontal directional drilling techniques is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of construction practices including paving, grading, and utility installation.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent certification is desirable for transporting equipment or materials.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites.
- Construction experience with a focus on underground utility installation or similar projects is advantageous.

Pay: $38.00-$42.00 per hour
