The Manager, Loss Prevention is responsible for investigations and providing fraud mitigation strategies and tactics for The Mobile Shop business, while balancing customer experience.
What you'll do
Identify and action new fraud trends, issues, significant control weaknesses and deficiencies
Conduct, develop, document and complete investigative processes in relation to fraud, thefts, policy violations, etc.
Retrieve, analyze, and interpret large volumes of complex data in relation to potential fraudulent activations
Devise and perform pre- and post-transaction audits in the point of sale system and carrier portals to identify irregularities and ensure process compliance
Ensure appropriate controls and policies to deter fraud and mitigate losses are in place and followed
Accountable for financial loss performance and customer experience generated by LP policies and strategies
Responsible for customer onboarding call in help line; supporting stores with difficult transactions, pricing changes and onboarding of high risk accounts
Act as the key contact between operations, internal teams, carrier partners and the authorities
Manage and develop direct reports
Remain current with trends, regulatory requirements and business strategies
What you'll need
College or University diploma or degree, required
5 years of retail loss prevention experience, within the telecommunications industry preferred
Strong analytical and conceptual thinker with the proven ability to solve problems and make decisions based on quantitative and qualitative analysis
Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of risk control, fraud prevention, and telecom processes
Good understanding of telecom pricing, financing and subsidy models
Strong attention to detail, data profiling and analytics skill set
Ability to document and present findings in a clear and concise manner
Excellent time management skills and ability to work within strict deadlines
Experience managing direct reports
Knowledge of RQ point of sale system an asset
