Entrepreneurial Civil Infrastructure Estimator (Commission-Based)
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial Civil Infrastructure Estimator who wants to build their own book of business while earning uncapped commission. This role is ideal for an experienced estimator who thrives on identifying opportunities, preparing competitive bids, and helping grow a company. You'll have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while working alongside an established team specializing in civil infrastructure rehabilitation and construction.
Compensation
- 100% Commission-Based with uncapped earning potential.

Responsibilities
- Source and identify tender opportunities through public and private procurement platforms.
- Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Perform quantity take-offs and detailed cost estimates.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Develop competitive pricing strategies while maintaining profitability.
- Prepare complete bid submissions before deadlines.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when required.
- Build relationships with municipalities, consulting engineers, contractors, and owners.
- Assist in contract negotiations following successful awards.
- Maintain a pipeline of upcoming projects and opportunities.
- Coordinate with operations to ensure accurate project handoff after award.
Preferred Project Experience
Experience estimating one or more of the following:
- Water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Concrete restoration
- Structural rehabilitation
- Waterproofing and crack injection
- Sewer and underground infrastructure
- Bridge rehabilitation
- Pump stations
- Civil construction and municipal infrastructure
- Industrial facilities
Qualifications
- 3+ years of estimating experience in civil infrastructure or heavy construction.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience with quantity take-offs and estimating software.
- Knowledge of municipal tendering processes.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Existing industry relationships are considered an asset.
