Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 5 roll-off trucks to pick up and deliver waste containers across designated routes in
- Perform heavy lifting of waste bins and containers, ensuring secure loading and unloading procedures
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to verify safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness before each shift
- Maintain accurate logs of pickups, drop-offs, and route details for record-keeping purposes
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during daily operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate schedules and address any operational issues promptly
- Assist with general site cleanup and ensure the work area remains safe and organized at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in driving heavy trucks, particularly Class 5 roll-off vehicles or similar equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling waste containers or related materials
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial vehicle operation
