Unisex Hairstylist — New Salon | 40% Commission + Guaranteed Minimum Wage + Tips
The Editor Salon & Barber is a brand-new salon located directly at the base of a large residential complex, surrounded by approximately 4,000 residents across six condominium buildings. We’re also right beside an established nail salon, giving us a great location for building regulars and walk-in traffic.
We’re looking for unisex hairstylists to join us from the beginning. You don’t need to do absolutely everything — we’re building a team with different strengths. Whether you specialize more in fades and men’s cuts, women’s hair, colour, or a mixture, we’d like to hear from you.
What we offer:
- 40% commission on your services
- Minimum-wage earnings guaranteed — if your commission for the applicable hours doesn’t reach minimum wage, your pay is topped up accordingly

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable with men’s, women’s, or unisex hair services and takes pride in giving clients a great experience. Experience with fades, scissor cuts, longer hair, colour, styling, treatments, or children’s cuts is an asset — you do not need to specialize in every service listed.
We’re especially interested in stylists who are reliable, personable, and excited about growing their clientele in a new neighbourhood salon.
Compensation: 40% commission, with minimum-wage protection. The better your bookings, the more you earn through commission; during slower periods, you still have the security of minimum-wage earnings for applicable working hours.
