We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Invoicing Specialist to join our growing transportation team in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec. The ideal candidate will have experience in transportation billing and invoicing, with a strong understanding of freight documentation, customer billing, and transportation rate structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and process customer invoices accurately and on time.
- Verify freight rates, fuel surcharges, accessorial charges, and supporting transportation documentation.
- Ensure invoices are prepared in accordance with customer contracts and rate agreements.
- Reconcile invoicing discrepancies and resolve billing issues with customers and internal departments.
- Maintain accurate billing records and transportation documentation.
- Monitor completed shipments to ensure timely invoicing.
- Work closely with Dispatch, Operations, Customer Service, and Accounting to ensure billing accuracy.
- Generate invoicing, revenue, and accounts receivable reports as required.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and financial information.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of invoicing or billing experience, with at least 2 years in the truck transportation, logistics, or freight industry.
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, Transportation & Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of freight billing, transportation documentation, customer contracts, and rate structures.
- Experience working with TransPlus(TP), QuickBooks Desktop, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Bilingual (English and French) is an asset.
