About Us
Sora Coffee is a mobile espresso bar bringing specialty coffee to events across the Greater Toronto Area - weddings, corporate events, conferences, and private parties. We focus on doing a few things exceptionally well: great coffee, warm service, and a setup that feels considered and intentional. We're looking for a barista to join our on-call event team.
What You'll Do
- Set up and operate our mobile espresso cart at client events across the GTA
- Prepare espresso-based drinks and other specialty beverages for guests
- Deliver friendly, professional service that fits the tone of each event; from weddings to corporate conferences
- Keep the cart clean, organized, and presentation-ready throughout service
- Pack down and help transport equipment at the end of each event
What We're Looking For
- Excellent communication skills and a genuinely friendly, positive attitude; this matters more to us than experience
- A calm, professional presence that blends easily into events of all kinds, from weddings to corporate conferences
- Barista experience is a plus, but not required. We're happy to train the right person
- Reliable and punctual, with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable on your feet for the duration of an event
Requirements
- Must have your own reliable vehicle - events are held across Toronto and the GTA, and staff are responsible for getting to venues
- Available to work events on weekdays, evenings and/or weekends
- Comfortable with variable shift lengths; most events run 4 to 9 hours
Pay & Schedule
- $20/hour, plus tips
- Casual, on-call basis — shifts are booked per event based on availability, with no fixed weekly hours
- Great for someone looking for flexible, event-based work
