Mobile Fleet Mechanic
Our client operates a fleet maintenance service supporting businesses in the Saanich, Nanaimo, Victoria, and Westshore regions. They are committed to keeping commercial transport vehicles and heavy-duty equipment in optimal condition through proactive maintenance and reliable repairs.
Our client is looking for a skilled Mobile Mechanic to maintain and repair fleet vehicles and equipment in the Nanaimo, BC area. As a Mobile Mechanic, you will perform diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repairs in the field, ensuring vehicles and equipment remain operational.

Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial transport vehicles and heavy-duty equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble components such as engines, transmissions, braking systems, differentials, fuel systems, exhaust systems, and cooling systems.
- Maintain and repair air systems and related components.
- Diagnose and repair highway trucks, trailers, haul trucks, graders, bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and other heavy equipment.
- Fabricate and weld parts as needed.
- Complete and maintain accurate work orders and service documentation.
- Present a professional and positive image when interacting with team members, suppliers, and clients.
- Work safely and efficiently in a mobile, field-based environment.

Qualifications
- Journeyman / Red Seal certification in Commercial Transport or Heavy-Duty Mechanics.
- Own supply of tools.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with flexibility for future schedule adjustments (e.g., afternoon shifts or Tuesday to Saturday).
- Experience with heavy civil equipment and commercial trucking/trailers.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Class 1 or Class 3 license an asset.
- Welding ticket and/or experience is an asset.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
