My client is seeking a Customs Compliance Specialist to join their Supply Chain team in Winnipeg, MB. This is a full-time, permanent role with enterprise-wide impact across supply chain, logistics, and finance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Prepare, review, and submit shipping documentation in compliance with Canadian and U.S. customs regulations
* Classify products using HTS/HS codes; determine duties, country of origin, and all customs clearance requirements
* Monitor changes to customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements (USMCA/CUSMA) and communicate impacts to internal stakeholders
* Advise internal teams on customs compliance, trade regulations, and duty-saving opportunities
* Conduct internal audits to ensure ongoing compliance with regulations and company policies
* Manage post-entry corrections, amendments, and voluntary disclosures
* Assist with duty drawback programs and cost-saving initiatives
* Develop and maintain SOPs related to customs compliance
* Collaborate with logistics, supply chain, and finance teams to resolve customs-related issues
* Maintain complete and accurate customs records in accordance with applicable law
WHAT YOU BRING
Education & Credentials:
* Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
* Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) designation strongly preferred
Experience:
* 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in customs documentation, import/export compliance, or trade compliance with Canada-U.S. shipments
* Prior experience working as a customs broker is a strong asset
Technical Skills:
* Strong knowledge of HTS classification, Incoterms, and customs clearance processes
* Deep familiarity with USMCA/CUSMA and other free trade agreements
* Experience preparing compliance reports, conducting audits, and leading classification projects
* Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems; customs software or trade compliance platforms are a plus

* Able to translate complex regulatory requirements clearly for non-specialist colleagues
* Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
