Shift & Schedule: Part-Time | Early Mornings (6:00 AM Start)

Blue Collar Bakery crafts scratch-made pastries and artisan bread in downtown west Toronto. We proudly serve our Bloordale and Junction Triangle neighborhoods, local farmers markets, established Toronto restaurants, and boutique grocery retailers.
What You’ll Do
- Measure, scale, and mix artisan doughs according to exact recipe formulas and daily production schedules.
- Monitor fermentation, dough temperatures, and hydration to ensure consistent artisan quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with food safety standards.
- Collaborate closely with a small, focused morning team to meet daily wholesale and retail goals.

Requirements
- Professional bread-making or commercial baking experience.
- Ability to comfortably lift and carry up to 50 lbs (bags of flour, mixing bowls, bulk dough).
- Valid Food Handler / Food Safety Certificate.
- Proficient English reading and writing skills (for scaling formulas and batch logging).
- Legal authorization to work in Canada (Work Permit, PR, or Citizenship with a valid SIN).
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with sourdough cultures and long-fermentation doughs.
- Background in a high-volume commercial or production bakery.
- Formal baking, pastry, or culinary training.
Interview Format
- On-site In-person interview with both interview questions and hands-on evaluation
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18.0 – 30.0 per week
