THIS IS NOT A SAFETY OFFICER POSITION. THIS IS A SAFETY TESTING TECHNICIAN POSITION.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Occupational Testing Technician to join our client in Edmonton. This role involves conducting occupational tests and performing administrative duties to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Duties
- Conduct Mask Fit Testing to ensure proper respiratory protection.
- Perform Hearing Fit Testing to assess employees' hearing protection needs.
- Administer Audiometric Testing to evaluate employees’ hearing abilities.
- Carry out Drug and Alcohol Testing in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all testing results and ensure confidentiality.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to occupational health and safety programs.
Skills
- Previous experience in occupational health testing or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Certification in relevant testing methodologies is a plus.
Certification
- Audio-Metric training done by a recognized Alberta Government provider
- Fit Testing certificate issued by the Manufacturer
- Department of Transportation recognized Alcohol and Drug testing
- Spirometry certificate done by a recognized Alberta Government provider.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
