We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a vital part of our restaurant management, the Sous Chef will support the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety, and efficiency. Duties
- Assist in supervising kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations and maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes served
- Lead cooking activities, demonstrating advanced culinary techniques and ensuring adherence to recipes and standards
- Manage food handling procedures in compliance with safety regulations to promote a safe working environment
- Support restaurant management in planning menus, inventory control, and ordering supplies
- Serve as a role model for team management by motivating staff, providing training, and fostering a positive work environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with health regulations
- Assist in training new team members and ensuring ongoing development of existing staff
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or food service environment
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the food industry
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Previous restaurant management or kitchen experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting
