The Energy Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating energy conservation by identifying and implementing various options for saving energy, leading awareness programs, and monitoring energy consumption at the St Marys Cement Plant located in St Marys, Ontario.

Implementing Electrical Energy Saving Projects to achieve minimum Annual Savings of 1,500 MWh.
Tracking, monitoring and reporting to IESO on a quarterly basis including an annual review.
Ensure timely filing, completeness and progress from previous reports (Measurement & Verification Strategy)
Using and improving the energy tracking and monitoring system in order to reveal energy-saving opportunities. Developing and enhancing the electrical load inventory of all equipment in the plant.
Developing and delivering training to the plant staff on the energy tracking and monitoring system.
Developing employee awareness and other training programs to all employees (hourly/salary) on energy management and sustainability initiatives: Implementing an employee training and awareness program to promote energy conservation and communicate the energy efficiency initiatives undertaken. Proposing, developing and implementing Energy saving initiative projects together with various disciplines (electrical, mechanical, project employees) to achieve identified targets for energy reduction
Generating business process improvements; interaction with community on sustainability initiatives
Maintaining records and systems to maintain our ISO 50001 certification.
Coordinating and assisting site inspections by the IESO as required at the sole discretion of the IESO. Collect relevant information regarding additional electrical energy use (equipment purchases, schedule changes, occupancy changes or construction).
Other duties as required.
Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) an asset.
Confident in project management, generating reports and preparing presentations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Familiar with heavy industry, energy management techniques.
Cement industry experience an asset.
Contract length: 12 months
