On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a Junior Field Technicians for multiple contract roles in Toronto, ON. Technicians will need to have their own vehicles for site work across respective cities, mileage will be reimbursed.
Junior Field Technician - Job Description:
Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Field Technician to join our growing field services team. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in structured cabling, low-voltage systems, and IT hardware installation across commercial and enterprise environments.
Junior Field Technician - Responsibilities:
- Shadows Level One technicians on site and assists with installations
- Handles small standalone tasks independently such as POS hardware swaps, label runs, monitor replacements, and basic cable pulls
- Acts as a spotter for Level One technicians working above six feet
- Documents all work performed including diagrams, testing results, and service reports
- Maintains tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and functional condition
- Assists with installation of structured cabling, CCTV, POS systems, digital signage, and fiber optic systems under supervision
Junior Field Technician - Mandatory Skills:
- Basic cabling knowledge
- Hands-on technical aptitude
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Willingness to travel
- OSHA 10 certification
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Junior Field Technician – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Diploma or coursework in Electrical, IT, or Networking
- Interest in low-voltage systems and IT infrastructure
- Basic knowledge of electrical safety practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments
- Ability to work evenings or weekends based on project schedules
