Tooling Design & Modification:
-
Develop and update 3D models and engineering drawings for MCR tooling using SolidWorks.

Implement tooling updates and modifications based on OPEX, design feedback, or lessons learned from previous units.

Support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) by preparing technical inputs, implementing design revisions, and documenting impacts.

Participate in design reviews and incorporate comments into finalized design packages.
Testing & Verification:
-
Prepare Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) plans, including defining objectives, test steps, inspection criteria, and required instrumentation.

Support FAT execution by coordinating with production, quality, and test personnel.

Document results, issues, and potential design improvements for future units.
Production & Field Support:

Provide engineering support to production teams during fabrication, assembly, and commissioning of MCR tooling.

Review and disposition Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), recommending corrective actions and design updates when required.

Assist with ensuring tooling documentation route sheets, ITPs, process steps is accurate and up to date.

Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Technology, or equivalent technical diploma.

Experience in nuclear, heavy industry, or tooling design is an asset but not required.

Knowledge of CMMS is an asset.

Proficiency in SolidWorks (part modeling, assemblies, drawings, configuration management).

Excellent communication skills and willingness to work in a multi‑disciplinary, fast‑paced project environment.

Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work hands‑on with mechanical systems.
