As a Software Engineer, you're a core builder on version 2.0. You'll design and ship features end to end across the stack, from the React/TypeScript front end through Node and Python services to the AWS infrastructure they run on. This is product engineering with real ownership: you take a problem, decide how it should work, build it, test it, deploy it, and watch it run in production for hundreds of dealerships. You'll also help keep v1.0 healthy for the customers depending on it today, which means you'll see the full picture of how the business actually works rather than a slice of it. It's a strong fit for someone who wants breadth, wants to own decisions instead of tickets, and builds with AI tooling as a default.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and ship features end to end across front end, back end, and infrastructure.
- Design APIs and data models for a high-throughput, always-on system.
- Write and maintain tests, and take responsibility for the quality of what you ship.
- Deploy and operate your own services on AWS, including monitoring and on-call style debugging of production issues.
- Identify root cause for reported defects and implement fixes in production.
- Help migrate functionality off the v1.0 no-code stack (n8n, GoHighLevel) onto the v2.0 platform without disrupting live clients.
- Work with the rest of engineering to shape architecture and technical direction for v2.0.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- A strong understanding of CS fundamentals.
- Experience with React and TypeScript.
- Experience with Node.
- Experience with Python.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, deploying and operating services in a cloud environment.
- Solid relational database and API design skills.
- Excellent debugging skills. You enjoy chasing a problem to its actual root cause.
- An AI-first development approach. You are comfortable and effective using Claude as a daily part of how you build, review, and debug, not an occasional novelty.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing clearly about technical decisions.
- A hunger to learn with strong curiosity.
Pay: $96,000.00-$115,200.00 per year
