Your Role in a Nutshell
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and collaborating with a diverse group of senior leaders, the Director of Operations will provide strategic leadership and hands-on guidance for all operational activities across the organization. A results-oriented leader with strong operational acumen, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of business needs, the Director of Operations will be key in optimizing processes, scaling operations, and supporting both North American and international growth.
Scope of Duties
- Operational Strategy and Leadership: Assess and advise senior executives on the operational structure and performance. Provide objective guidance on optimizing operational processes to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Process Optimization: Identify, diagnose, and re-engineer existing operational processes. Lead continuous improvement initiatives across departments to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership to define and execute operational strategies, balancing short-term goals with long-term business needs.
- Performance Metrics and KPIs: Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational scorecards to measure progress and drive accountability across the organization.
- Operational Support and Team Development: Manage and develop a high-performing operations team. Foster a collaborative environment while driving operational excellence at every level of the organization.
- Project Management: Lead and oversee critical operational projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
- Talent and Resource Allocation: Partner with senior leaders to assess operational staffing requirements and ensure optimal resource allocation to meet business demands.
- Budgeting and Cost Management: Work closely with finance and operations teams to define budgets, track expenses, and ensure operational efficiency within financial targets.
- Process Governance and Compliance: Develop policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to support operational best practices and compliance with applicable laws across regions.
- International Expansion: Support the operational needs of the company’s international growth, including establishing processes for new markets, managing third-party relationships, and ensuring operational consistency across geographies.
- Vendor and Supplier Relationships: Build and manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure the company has the resources needed to scale operations efficiently.
- Risk Management: Identify operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the business remains agile and resilient in the face of challenges.
- Operational Excellence: Champion the implementation of best practices in supply chain management, logistics, production, and other key operational areas to drive business success.
What You Offer
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field. Advanced certifications or MBA are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of operational leadership experience, ideally in a high-growth startup or a division of a larger organization undergoing rapid expansion.
- Leadership and Execution: Demonstrated ability to lead operational transformations, optimize processes, and manage cross-functional teams. A hands-on leader with a "roll-up-the-sleeves" attitude.
- Project Management: Proven experience in managing and executing large-scale operational projects, with a focus on efficiency, cost management, and results.
- Communication and Influence: Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. The ability to influence senior leaders and manage diverse teams effectively.
- Agility and Resilience: A self-starter with the ability to adapt to changing priorities, solve complex problems, and lead teams through periods of growth and transition.
- Global Perspective: Experience in managing operations across multiple regions and understanding the unique challenges of international business operations.

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
