Biomed Recovery & Disposal Ltd. is hiring a Caregiver.
Biomed Recovery & Disposal Ltd. is Saskatchewan's largest medical waste management company. Located in Aberdeen, SK, just 20 minutes north of Saskatoon, we are a growing family-owned business known for our commitment to personalized care, innovation, and employee support.
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and highly organized Caregiver to provide personal, household, transportation, and executive support to our CEO. This unique role combines caregiving responsibilities with administrative and lifestyle support to help ensure the client's health, safety, well-being, and day-to-day effectiveness.
The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, discretion, flexibility, and a genuine commitment to supporting others.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Caregiver supports the CEO through the following responsibilities:
Executive Support Duties
- Drive the client to and from the Aberdeen location for meetings and events.
- Manage calendar appointments, travel itineraries, and daily schedules.
- Assist with setting up and troubleshooting remote work tools, including Microsoft Teams and email access.
- Coordinate with staff to ensure effective communication and follow-through on tasks.
- Handle confidential documents and correspondence with discretion.
- Prepare meeting materials, presentations, and reports as required.
Personal and Household Support
- Assist in monitoring blood pressure and blood sugar levels.
- Administer insulin when required.
- Assist with household tasks, including moving and lifting household items.
- Shop for groceries and restock household essentials.
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on dietary requirements and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, tidying, and kitchen upkeep.
- Organize home office spaces and ensure technology is functioning properly.
- Run errands such as prescription pickups, mailing packages, and other personal errands.
Transportation and Errands
- Safely transport the client to appointments, meetings, events, and work locations outside the city.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and coordinate routine servicing and maintenance.
- Accompany the client to appointments and events when requested.
Lifestyle and Wellness Support
- Schedule, coordinate, attend, and provide reminders for health appointments, fitness sessions, and wellness activities.
- Provide companionship and support during travel and downtime.
- Help maintain a comfortable, organized, and supportive living environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Saskatchewan Driver's Licence.
- Previous experience as a Caregiver, Care Aide, Personal Support Worker, or in a similar role.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a background in nutrition, healthcare, or a related field.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Comfortable using phones, printers, computers, and common office technology.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to anticipate needs and adapt to changing priorities.
- Dependable, professional, and capable of working independently.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and emotional intelligence are essential. Given the dynamic nature of the CEO's schedule and leadership responsibilities, the successful candidate must be flexible, proactive, and able to maintain a calm and respectful presence in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting Relationship
This position reports directly to the CEO and General Manager.
Compensation
- Starting wage of $21.00 per hour.
- A performance review will be conducted following the 3-month probationary period. Compensation will be reviewed based on performance and qualifications.
- Annual performance reviews are conducted on the anniversary of the employee's start date.
- Compensation is reviewed at least annually.
Schedule
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- 40-hour work week.
- The Caregiver is expected to be present with and available to support the client during working hours.
- Overtime opportunities are regularly available based on the client's needs and schedule.

Work Location: In person. The successful candidate will be required to work and travel between Saskatoon and Aberdeen, SK as part of their regular duties.
