Your Role
As Director, Financial Control, you will be responsible for the organization’s financial integrity, closing processes, reporting, and internal controls. This role is central to building the financial foundations of Yoplait Liberté Canada and plays a key part in aligning with group standards (Sodiaal / Yoplait Global)
The position can be based at our downtown Montreal office, with a hybrid work model.
What You Will Accomplish Daily
Team Management

Structure, mobilize, and develop a team

Act as an influential leader across the organization, collaborating with various departments and executive members
Financial Control & Closing
-
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes (BFC consolidation, IFRS / local standards)

Lead variance analyses (actual vs. budget / forecast)

Ensure deadlines are met and financial statements are accurate, reliable, and aligned with group standards
Performance Management
-
Produce and enhance financial reports for the leadership team (P&L, SG&A, margins, CAPEX)

Structure financial KPIs (Top KPIs, dashboards, etc.)

Support decision-making with relevant financial analyses

Support strategic initiatives (investments, grants, financing)

Act as a key point of contact with the Sodiaal group (France)
Internal Controls & Compliance

Implement and strengthen internal controls (SOX-like environment)

Ensure tax compliance (corporate taxes, sales taxes)

Identify and mitigate financial risks
-
Manage internal and external audits
Transformation & Continuous Improvement

Actively contribute to the company’s transformation and growth projects

Optimize financial processes (automation, standardization)

Participate in the implementation and evolution of systems (SAP, ADP, BFC)
What You Need to Join Our Team
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA required
-
Minimum of 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role
-
Experience in a CPG manufacturing environment (an asset)
-
Experience working with ERP systems
-
Bilingualism (daily interactions with teams across Canada)
