Duties and Responsibilities:
Read and write simple correspondence such as daily inspection sheets, maintenance logs and other forms as required.
Apply common sense understanding to carry instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Essential functions of the job include walking, climbing, bending, twisting, stooping and crawling. Reaching high & low, lift and carry up to 80 lbs., hearing, listening, speaking, depth perception, colour vision, ability to tolerate a year-round outdoor environment with temperature varying from 0 to 100+ degrees.
Other duties as assigned
The applicant must be enrolled in a post-secondary co-operative education program.
Must possess basic mathematical skills including but not limited to: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
Maintaining integrity and confidentiality and concentration while working under a variety of pressures
Able to work at heights over 200 feet, able to stand and/or walk throughout the entirety of scheduled shifts, during various weather conditions
Work independently or part of a team
Must support a 7-day week operation, provide on-call services, work overtime, and be available during peak seasonal operation times, including evenings, weekends and holidays
