Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. You will ensure that all pets receive the attention, exercise, and cleanliness they need while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for both animals and clients.
Duties
- Provide daily care for dogs including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
- Clean and maintain kennel areas, ensuring a sanitary environment for all animals.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management.
- Assist with customer service duties, including greeting clients and providing updates on their pets.
- Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or assisting with larger animals.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure the well-being of both animals and staff.
Experience
- Candidates must have a current driver’s license
- Previous experience in animal care or customer service is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with animal care.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare is essential.
Availability Expectations
- Must be willing to work any shift between 6:30am and 9:00pm
- Shifts average 4 - 8hrs
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays - including Christmas day.

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
