The Royal Glenora Club is seeking two talented and versatile Culinary Professionals to join our team. One candidate to lead or morning team and one to lead our evening team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for food, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility with scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential.
Job Duties
- Responsible for the daily preparation of food items in assigned kitchen stations
- Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines
- Prepares all food items as directed in a safe and timely manner
- Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant
- Restocks all items as needed throughout shift
- Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills
- Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station
- Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas
- Prepare special dishes for customers with food allergies or preferences
- Ensure that the correct quantities are prepared to meet daily needs
- Follow proper reporting procedures for accidents and incidents to ensure follow-up and prevention
- Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations, including use of hazardous materials and fire safety
- Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Professional diploma or food services management preferred
- Minimum 2 years of line cook or similar experience required
- Food preparation experience required
- Knowledge of sanitation, WHMIS, and completed a Food Safety Course.
- Willingness to learn and expand your knowledge
- Adaptable and skilled at working well with others in a diverse workplace.
- Excellent teamwork abilities with a strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- High attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Exceptional time management, multitasking, and task prioritization with minimal supervision.
- Strong skills in identifying and solving problems.
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Must have flexibility with scheduling. This is including the ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Background check will be required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
