Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and contribute to a welcoming experience. This role involves taking orders, serving gelato and other specialty items, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction. The Server will play a vital role in creating a memorable experience for our guests through friendly and efficient service.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system
- Serve gelato and other items promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash and process payments accurately, including cashiering duties
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance guest experience
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are consistently maintained
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed during busy periods
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during shifts
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and organized service station and dining area
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and adhere to sanitation standards
- Basic math skills for billing, cash handling, and change calculation
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
- Familiarity with food industry terminology, serving protocols, and hospitality standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
