Festac Lounge is entering an exciting new chapter as it rebrands into Vintage 101—an innovative restaurant, lounge, and nightlife destination designed to deliver exceptional dining, elevated entertainment, and unforgettable guest experiences. Blending modern hospitality with a vibrant social atmosphere, Vintage 101 will offer premium cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, live entertainment, and curated events that bring people together.
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and results-driven General Manager to lead our team and oversee all aspects of our restaurant, bar, and lounge operations.
Position Summary
The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of Festac @ Vintage 101 Lounge by leading daily operations, driving financial performance, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and building a high-performing team.
This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and can confidently manage restaurant service, bar operations, nightlife programming, special events, staffing, and business growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop all management, supervisory, and hourly team members.
- Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain exceptional hospitality staff.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional service.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and employee development planning.
- Create staffing schedules that balance operational needs with labour cost targets.
Operations Management
- Oversee all daily restaurant, bar, lounge, and nightlife operations.
- Ensure every guest receives an outstanding dining and entertainment experience.
- Maintain exceptional standards for food quality, beverage service, cleanliness, ambience, and presentation.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Coordinate smooth operations during peak service periods, private events, and live entertainment.
Financial Performance
- Work with owners to manage budgets, labour costs, food costs, beverage costs, and operating expenses.
- Work with owners to monitor daily sales performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue.
- Work with owners to review financial reports and implement strategies to improve profitability.
- Oversee purchasing, inventory management, vendor relationships, and cost controls.
- Minimize waste and protect company assets.
Guest Experience
- Build a culture where hospitality is the highest priority.
- Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally.
- Build relationships with VIP guests, community partners, and event organizers.
- Monitor customer feedback and online reviews to continuously improve service standards.
Events & Business Growth
- Support the planning and execution of themed nights, private events, live entertainment, and special activations.
- Work closely with ownership and the marketing team to increase brand awareness and customer engagement.
- Develop partnerships that drive new business and repeat clientele.
- Identify opportunities to grow revenue through programming, promotions, and community engagement.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with Ontario health regulations, employment standards, liquor licensing requirements, and workplace safety legislation.
- Maintain Smart Serve compliance across all applicable staff.
- Ensure proper cash handling, security procedures, and loss prevention measures are followed.
- Respond to operational incidents and implement corrective actions when required.
Administration & Reporting
- Prepare operational and financial reports for ownership.
- Monitor key business metrics and recommend improvements.
- Lead regular management meetings and communicate operational priorities.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to staffing, compliance, inventory, and business operations.
Qualifications Required Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in restaurants, lounges, bars, or hospitality venues.
- Previous experience managing high-volume food and beverage operations.
- Demonstrated success leading large teams and multiple departments.
- Strong understanding of restaurant, bar, and nightlife operations.
- Experience managing budgets, labour costs, and profitability.

Working Conditions
