Title: HR Business Partner

JOB SUMMARY: The HR Business Partner will provide day-to-day generalist and recruitment support for assigned business operations/area(s) of responsibility. This role will work under the direction of the HR Director for Wright Canada Holdings supporting the Wright Service Corp. Human Resources strategic priorities and the local business/operational priorities.

HR Business Partner Duties
Assists with guidance and interpretation of HR policies and procedures
Assists with resolving employee relations issues and addresses grievances by conducting thorough and objective investigations
Provides recommendation and guidance regarding performance management, which includes coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, and separations
Supports ongoing employee learning needs by identifying training opportunities within the business and communicating with other departments to determine a curriculum and ensure objectives are being met
Provides guidance on job changes, workforce staffing and planning and retention strategies
Assists with administering leaves of absence in accordance with company policies and federal and provincial labor code
Analyzes and interprets data and trends to identify gaps and propose innovative HR solutions
Recruiting Specialist Duties
Coordinate the recruiting process for assigned business/area by communicating frequently with managers to understand hiring needs
Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods based on the available roles, industry standards, and needs of the organization
Collaborate with managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate position descriptions and hiring criteria
Assist in the creation of job requisitions and with job posting and advertisement processes
Screen candidates and select qualified candidates, connects viable candidates with hiring managers
Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers and other stakeholders as necessary
May schedule interviews, oversee the preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
Ensure any required pre-employment checks are completed, develops, and extends employment offers
Actively pre-boards, onboards and provides employee orientation and maintains timely and accurate communication with managers and employees
Organize and attend job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; human resources, communications or business specialization preferred
HR professional certification preferred
Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a human resources generalist, business partner, recruiter or closely related role required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated excellent customer service skills focused on rapport-building, listening, questioning and patience
Demonstrated presentation skills and ability to effectively convey information
Demonstrated organizational skills, detail orientation, and ability to work on multiple tasks and projects concurrently
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing business
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team environment
Ability to handle sensitive personnel matters in a confidential fashion
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time to conduct onsite field visits and/or field training
Working knowledge of company policies and procedures and applicable Canada Labor Code, Canada Human Rights Act and related regulations; ability to interpret and covey both to management and employees
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
